Based in Ottawa, Acadian singer-songwriter Julie Stella (she/her) describes her music as moody, sad girl vibes. Some might describe her songs as nostalgic, while others might say they’re heartbreaking. Julie writes songs to dig through the complex layers of despair, grief and healing.

Growing up in a small town in New Brunswick, Julie was drawn to music of all genres. Many artists influenced her sound and her style, including Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple, Chantal Kreviazuk and The Cranberries. Julie is inspired by with strong voices who are vulnerable and who have something to express.

Julie shared her first release in November 2023, Like a Ghost. Earlier in 2025, she released a new version of her song Floating By. Julie's first French song, la tempête, is now available on all streaming platforms.

La compositrice-interprète acadienne Julie Stella, basée à Ottawa, décrit sa musique comme mélancolique et un peu sombre. Certains diront que ses chansons sont nostalgiques alors que pour d'autres, elles sont tristement familières. En novembre 2023, Julie a partagé son premier extrait, Like a Ghost. En mai 2025, elle a dévoilé une nouvelle version de sa chanson Floating By. Sa première chanson en français, la tempête, maintenant disponible sur toutes les plateformes musicales.
